Unity in diversity - what's it all about?

Posted on Apr 9th, 2007 by Daveman : Mindshifter - Ambassador Daveman
The first post on my blog is a little story I want to tell you. At the beginning there was infinity - no beginning and no end. Just singular, no reflection, no feeling, but somewhat creative - a potential. Because we are in a story, just imagine you are infinity. No thoughts, no time, no thing - nothing. to be infinity can be quite boring after a while - no one to talk to, no feelings, no knowing about one self, so being creative you gave birth to finity. A really cool thing you've developed - all of a sudden there was something else than infinity. Something prickles in your little toe so to say... We (as infinity) had a little playground from now on! But absolutely not sure what it is, we got a little more creative again. Somehow there were some puzzle pieces we could put together. Atoms? Wohoo, let's join another pair of those little somethings - amazing. Some of them really fit well, others didn't do very well, but the stronger ones could be put together with one another - and so on. That's just the story of the whole evolution. We gave birth to stars, the had to collapse, just like childs crush down their playthings to build something new - something more complex, more creative. Okay, so there was this thing called earth, that formed out of the puzzle pieces. Single-cell organisms started to had some life of their own - still part of me (as infinity), because I started the whole thing, right? But what I did all the time (since the beginning of time) now started to puzzle on it's own. Still I was blind, without real feelings, not really aware of what was going on, but it was fun and better than to be all alone in singularity and infinity. Organisms formed and I was able to feel something. gosh, what an amazement! Eyes gave me a glimpse of what it "looked" like what I have done so far. Animals developed. And all of a sudden I could reflect myself, like in a mirror - I gave birth to something called "conciousness". I started to think about myself... First off only inside the box. Finite reflects the finite. But then it really went crazy. I realized, that I am watching myself here. The infinite in a finite state! All the pain, all the suffering now made sense. To give birth is always a painful act. But now I can enjoy it - it was always myself acting in the finite. Some parts of myself didn't realized it up to now, but because I am infinity I've got a lot of time... And it is still my game I am playing, right? So, are you aware of being infinity? Did you lost your fear, because there is no such thing, if you are infinite? Are you aware, that it's all just a game we are playing? That it is our game and our rules? If so, there all we need for a change is around us. Let's be creative, as we were all the time... ;) Have fun, be light & let us shine as one!

The image of kids on the playground is perfect for your story. After reading and chasing these words from start to finish (or from beginning to beginning again?) I feel like I’ve just been playing and dancing with some very creative, light-hearted kids.

Did the universe begin out of a need for an echo of laughter? An echo of self? Did the universe begin… at all? It makes me feel very silly when I try to answer. Silly in a liberated way.

Thank you for creating this playground and inviting me to kick up some dust here!

PS:
I noticed you switched back and forth from “we” to “I” / “us” to “me” and somehow that works in your story - because we have distinctions and we are individuals, but we’re all of the same source. Cheers for your first blog!!!
